Welcome to The Birch Grove, a site exploring Victorian erotica focusing on sexual flagellation, and a source for hard-to-find and obscure works on the pleasures of the rod. Whilst I focus on Victorian flagellant fiction, I’ll also post on significant works from earlier and slightly later periods, and on non-fiction. I’m passionate about pre-1950s flagellant erotica and would like to share my enjoyment of it. Positive comments and constructive criticisms are welcome and encouraged.
